How much fun can elementalist be? ... MUCH!!
If you ask me, Elemantalist is the most fun class in the game, you can do so much different styles of fighting.
Unlike, for example, Warrior.. For me, (now, this is just my opinion), warrior is soooo boring.. just hit monsters, and then hit monsters more.. nothing special, not much different things to do, just hit foe after foe and keep some stances up... maybe someone else finds that cool, and maybe some people even gets warrior to be really interesting with some cool builds, but i can't do it, i just can't get much out of warrior..
I am sorry if I offended someone, i don't mean to be mean and i still like people who likes to play with warrior. As i said, it's ONLY my opinion.
Sooo.. shortly, elementalist can do so much different things that you just can't get bored to it.. well.. you can.. I know few people who can't play with ele, they are good team mates for me, since I use almost only ele, I get good team ^^
After all this, i have to tell people: I have warrior and i have played much with it

Its pretty hilarious seeing all those sins and warriors in primeval armour crawling towards you. You can definitely see the point at which they realise persuing you is not worth the time it would take to get there and suffer all the knockdowns when they turn around and try to flee at 'baby's first step' kind of pace.
In games where your team is good at capping you can literally camp outside enemy team's base and keep a good number of them pinned down in their own base. You can also slow down the 'mob' that usually rolls together and beelines towards you whilst you are on cap duty.
